September 17, 2026: Climate Change and Community Building
The antidote to climate anxiety is turning toward others to build community.
On Thursday, September 17th, from 6 - 8 PM, fellow University of Minnesota Press author Anna Farro Henderson and I will be speaking and reading at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. This program, part of the museum's Third Thursday series, begins with inspiring conversation and readings from our books, Core Samples and Shelter and Storm.
Everyone will be invited to engage in creative activities for responding as a community to climate change, to learn about local organizations that support clean energy and healthy soils, and to discover other ways of getting involved.
This event is free, thanks to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, but registration is requested.
