From Original Spark to Complete Draft: A Writing Intensive

Are you brimming with ideas yet struggling to find the time and structure to work on them?

Pursue your narrative or dramatic piece from concept to completion in this ten-week Zoom workshop. With an emphasis on practical tools, Emilio Williams and I will share inspiring micro-lectures, generative exercises, and techniques for improving your craft. You’ll expand on your material outside of class, finishing a first draft by the end of week five and revising it during weeks six to ten. In the last session, we’ll talk about polishing, pitching, and sharing your work with the world. Personalized instructor reviews of your draft are also available.

This class is perfect for writers at any level who long to generate original work and develop a piece for publication while learning new approaches to their craft and process.

Saturdays from 10 am to 12 noon Central Time, September 19 to November 21, 2026. (Classes will be recorded and available for viewing, so don't worry if you have to miss a session.)
